Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year contract he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.
The veteran forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the first significant trophy of his notable career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he earlier was, and would definitely consider prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
